Barot is a frequent backpacker and day tourist destination. Many trekking trails pass through Barot, including trails to Bada Bhangal, Manali and Kullu. Most of the day tourists as attracted by the serene surroundings and cheap availability of accommodation.

Of late, Barot is also developing into an angling destination. The Uhl River supports trout breeding and Barot has a few fish farms. Across the river Uhl is the Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary, home to goral, Himalayan black bear and a variety of pheasants. Three artificial lakes including one reservoir on Uhl River enhance the beauty of this magnificent hidden treasure as one enters the Barot village near Dhrangan. An old fountain channelizing the waters of Uhl erupting at regular intervals is another source of attraction. Just opposite the fountain, two centres of religious faith are situated. One is the temple of Dev Pashakot, the local deity of rain whereas the other is old temple which has been the witness to majority of couples of valley getting tied in marital bonds. The Thandi Golai ground on the way to old Mayot road is the camp site for various trekkers organised by the trekking organisers. Rulling, the highest village in Mandi district is just an hour's uphill track falling in Lapas panchayat.

Day 01 : Pathankot – Dharamshala

Pickup from Chakki bank railway station / Bus stands and drives to Dharamshala. Arrival at Dharamshala transfer to hotel. After lunch drive to local sightseeing visit Honable Dalai Lama Temple, Bhagsu fall, Dal lake and St John Church. Dinner and night stay at Dharamsala Hotel.

Day 02 : Dharamshala – Bir (3–4 Hrs)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Bir (World famous Take off point for Paragliding). On the way u visit kangra Museum, Norbulingka art Gallery, Maa Chamunda Temple, Palampur tea garden and Lord Shiva Temple Baijnath. Dinner and night stay at Bir Hotel.

Day 03 : Bir to Barot Valley

Check out and drive to Barot. Arrival and check in hotel. Evening free and night stay.

Day 04 : Joginder Nagar – Barot Local

Barot packs on enormous range of outdoor activities. The Reservoir of Joginder nagar Hydel Power project is located here. A Trout Breeding centre makes it a wonderful place for angling. Acrpss the river Uhl is the Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary home to the Ghoral, Himalayan black bear and variety of Pheasants. Dinner and night stay at Barot Uhl River.

Day 05 : Angling and depart for Pathankot drop.

In the morning after Breakfast enjoy Trout fish angling in Uhl river. After lunch departure to Pathankot railway station with unforgettable memories of Himachal Pradesh.
